Qualifying Life Events (QLEs) are significant life changes that may impact an employee's benefits coverage. These events can include:

  • marriage
  • divorce
  • the birth or adoption of a child
  • a change in employment status
  • a change in residence

It is important for employees to notify HR of any QLEs as soon as possible so we can update their benefits accordingly.

To ensure a smooth transition during a QLE, employees should follow these steps:

  1. Notify HR: Inform HR as soon as possible of any qualifying life event. This can be done through email, phone call, or this web form. Be sure to provide any necessary documentation, such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, or birth certificate.
  2. Review Benefits: HR will review the employee's benefits coverage and determine if any changes need to be made. This could include adding a spouse or child to health insurance, changing beneficiaries on life insurance policies, or modifying retirement contributions.
  3. Update Information: If any changes need to be made to the employee's benefits, HR will update the necessary information in our HRIS system. Employees can also update their personal information, such as address or emergency contacts, during this time.
  4. Confirm Changes: Once all changes have been made, HR will confirm with the employee that their benefits coverage has been updated. It is important for employees to review their benefits summary to ensure accuracy.

Qualifying Life Events are a normal part of life, and our company is dedicated to supporting employees through these transitions. By following these steps and communicating with HR, employees can ensure a seamless process for updating their benefits coverage. Remember, we are here to help and support you during these important life changes.
